A LA BATAILLE DE LA FIERE

Vivian wrote: What a find...this website! I would like to be reviewed and added as a reference to this site. We have a historical B&B at La Fière, right across from the Paratroopers Memorial Park on the Merderet River in Ste. Mère-Eglise. The name of our business is "à la Bataille de La Fière" Yes, this is where the battle of Normandy began. We are in the area of three 82nd Airborne dropzones (505th, 507th, and 508th PIR) and HIll 30. And we must not forget the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment who took the bridge first!
