Arnhem Liberation 1945

In April 1945 Arnhem was finally liberated by the Western Allies. The first try to liberate the dutch city in September 1944 failed. The German Wehrmacht occupied the city another half year until British and Canadians forces could take control after the so-called Second Battle of Arnhem.
